Neck Warmer

I got the girls these little tiger neck pillows from Vegas thinking they would like to use them in the car on the long trips to grandmas.
Well, Emerysn calls hers her "neck warmer" and goes to bed with it on her neck EVERY night since getting it. I just crack up every night.
I count my blessings that I have these little ones to make me laugh!!!!

Vegas

The Eiffel Tower. We stayed at The Paris and one evening went to the top. It was a beautiful way to see the strip.

A shot of the strip at night

Mary just felt the need to make me look stupid on this lion!!!

One of our co-workers gave us a couple bucks, so we put them in this huge slot machine and of course won nothing!!!
We had a good trip. Saw Mama Mia which was awesome, watched some dueling pianos one night at a cigar bar, went to The Price Is Right, and saw on "original" show girl show called Jubilee. Did a lot of sightseeing around the strip and shopping.
We were there for the biggest snowfall they had had in many years. The temp was only in the 40's. Kind of a bummer, but we had a great time.

Trouble

This is what I discovered when going into the bathroom......

And...this is what was in his mouth!!!!

More Pics

We attempted to make these rice krispies that look like Christmas ornaments, but they of course did not turn out near as well as they looked in the cook book.

Emersyn proud of her green tongue. I might also mention that Audrey freaked out a couple of days later when her poo was bright green!!!! I couldn't help but laugh!!!!

Trying to capture a picture before the girl's church Christmas Program a couple weeks ago. It was hard to catch all of them.

Emersyn proud of her hair we actually curled that day.

The Nutcracker

A couple weeks ago the girls and I went to The Nutcracker. They loved it and Audrey was begging for a few days to go to ballet lessons.
The girls cheesing before we left.

I decided to get a family picture since I normally never am in any pictures.

Little Man

Attempting a pic of Audrey and Wrigley playing, but he wouldn't cooperate!!!

Wrigley is now pulling up on EVERYTHING. I am sure it won't be long til he is walking!!! Seems like during this stage they change almost daily!!!

I love his smile here!!! Have I mentioned how much I love having a little boy!! He just melts my heart!!!:)

Snow Day

Tuesday was a snow day as we got around 5 inches of snow. The girls attempted to sled down our yard, but it didn't work well.

Then I helped them make a snowman....or attempt to. The snow was too powdery to roll the balls and it ended up being just a big pile....we still added grapes for eyes , a scarf, and a carrot nose.

Audrey with snowman. Emersyn got too cold and wasn't out long. Instead she watched from the door and handed us grapes and carrots!!!
Wrigley slept during all of this.
Then we made chocoloate chip cookies. Audrey made me feel good when she said I am so glad there was no school today so we could do all of this fun stuff with you mom.
Wrigley and I stayed in our PJ's all day. Couldn't have been better!!
The girls delivered some cookies to our neighbors across the street as he has surprised me twice by snow blowing our driveway. I have felt like he answered a prayer. I thought I had someone lined up to do it and he never followed through. I do now however have someone to call if needbe. If the neighbor continues to help, I thought I'd send them a gift card . For gas maybe???Any suggestions???

Xmas Concert

The 2nd grade Xmas concert at Bonner Elementary was Monday night.
I didn't get good pics because we were too far away. Audrey is 2nd row from top on left by the gril with red bow in her hair. Audrey really loves to sing!! They had a lot of fun songs this year. One song had 5 short solos and she was drawn for one of them. They picked names from a hat. She did good...I am sure I would have been too shy at her age!!

Proud Audrey by her locker before the concert. Lately she seems to be looking so much more grown up to me!!!

Early Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa's

Audrey in her new vest

Em opening her American Girl Doll..She picked out Kit. My mom let them tell her which ones they would like to have...they picked them from the catalog...so not a big surprise to them that they each got one!!!

3 Kiddos...not sure what this face Emersyn is making is!!!

Fun Presents

The girls got their first American Girl dolls from my parents for Xmas. They love them...especially Audrey. Hers is named Mia and she is an ice skater.

Wrigley with grandma. He loved this toy she got him that rolls around on the floor.

One of his new tricks..."hello"

On a lighter note

My computer is making me mad as it still won't upload my pics.

So, anyhow...sorry for the previous post....sometimes I just have to let it out.

I just wanted to talk a little about Wrigley. He is changing so fast and growing up too quickly. His new tricks are he loves to waves...will wave non stop...he will give you five....and he claps.

He is INTO EVERYTHING...now pulls things off shelves he can reach...smushes his fingers in doors....OOOPS... and every time I go to get him out of his crib now his is up on his knees.

He is sooo much fun...and so busy!!!!

He currently has his fourth ear infection and next week we are going to ENT to hopefully get tubes. I am hoping for this month since we've already maxed out our out of pocket for the year!!!!!! Also, they are going to check out his tongue and he might have to have his frenulum cut a little. The part that holds your tongue underneath...he is slightly "tongue tied" and can't move his tongue up and down much. This might be why he struggles with some more solid type foods. This is a minor procedure and would be great to get them both done at once.

And officially 2 days ago I am all done nursing him. This was hard for me to give up..but at the same time I feel much more freedom. I can now sit and enjoy my lunch at work and not sit in the little pump room staring at 4 walls!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now my next task is to get him to sleep through the night. He does for Troy but is always up twice for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Little Stinker!!!!!!

Proud moments

While I am on such a role blogging tonight I thought I would share my proud moments from this week. First off, we had Audrey's parent/teacher conference and everything Mr. Severson had to say was great. She is doing above average in pretty much everything. Troy and I both always worry about her socially as well....her first two teachers always said how quiet and shy she is...but he even said that he doesn't notice that and that in class she always has kids to play with. Sometimes she talks like she doesn't have many friends and that kids are mean to her at times...but maybe it is just me being paranoid. I really like her teacher. This is only his 3rd year teaching and his first time teaching 2nd grade..but I like his enthusiasm. He just got married the weekend after Halloween and the class hated their sub and were so glad to have him back.

Then recently I had my 10 year anniversary at Mayo and one of my gifts was a gift certificate to a restaurant. So, I decided to treat the girls today and we went to TimberLodge Steakhouse for lunch. We really enjoyed it and got "extra's" because of the gift cert. We enjoyed an appetizer Audrey picked out and we shared a dessert that the girls really wanted. We left more than stuffed and I brought most of my meal home with me. Anyhow...there was a lady across from us and she was commenting on Wrigley who had taken his socks off and was chewing on them and then she said you have a really nice family and they are so well behaved. That just always makes me feel better. Especially the last few months there are many times I get down on myself due to the added stress and having to do it alone when I have them.
So, that made my day. And I must say they all 3 did very well considering we were there for an hour and 1/2. The service was pretty slow.

On the MOOOVE

This is the first time I have been patient enough to download a video and it' s not even a very good one. Wrigley crawls much better and quicker than this, but he kept slipping on the wood floor.

A few more pics

Wrigley just discovered this fun toy tonight...the curtains!!!!

Pulling himself up.

Chuckie Cheese

Yesterday we went to LaCrosse, did a little shopping, and then picked up my dad and went to Chuckie Cheese. My dad works to LaCrosse so it's not a bad drive and the girls were so excited to see their papa and of course Chuckie!!!

Wrigley didn't know what to think of this little Barney ride.

Emmie with my dad behind her.

Em loved this bike ride where you pedal and it lifts you up....except she couldn't quite reach the pedal so my dad helped her part of the time.

9 1/2 months, where did the time go???

It's so hard to believe that Wrigley will be a year in 2 1/2 months. It has gone sooo fast. All of the sudden he is such a fast mover. He is all over the house and follows his mommy everywhere...often pulling at my pant legs!!! I must admit it is a good feeling although I forgot how it is impossible to get ANYTHING done!!! Tonight when I came downstairs he had pulled himself up on his knees at this toy. I know he'll be pulling to standing soon. TOO SOON!!!!

Tonight he was chasing this balloon all over. I know it isn't the greatest idea...but he was loving it and I was watching him the whole time!!!

On the move looking for me down the hallway. I realized tonight that I better get the outlet plugs out and the cupboard locks. Been awhile since I've had to worry about those dangers!!!

Wrigley just had a his 3rd ear infection this past week. I am afraid he's going to follow in his sister's foot steps and need tubes before long. He is finally getting into eating more food now that he feels better again. He seems so different from the girls in that he would rather have milk than food. He seems a little behind as far as eating more solid type food. This morning I tried to give him a few small bites of toast and he gagged and threw up. He also does this with the gerber graduate melt away cereal things. It's not like he is hurting, but seems strange he can't eat more of those things yet.
I am starting to wean him from the nursing. Next month
i will be away from him a couple of long weekends so I figured I better start weaning now although I am having a tough time giving it up. Tonight I am going to give him a bottle of formula at bedtime hoping he will sleep better.
He sleeps all night for Troy and is up at least twice for me!!!
I am going to Vegas next month with a girlfriend and am so excited for a little R & R!!!
