Proud moments

While I am on such a role blogging tonight I thought I would share my proud moments from this week. First off, we had Audrey's parent/teacher conference and everything Mr. Severson had to say was great. She is doing above average in pretty much everything. Troy and I both always worry about her socially as well....her first two teachers always said how quiet and shy she is...but he even said that he doesn't notice that and that in class she always has kids to play with. Sometimes she talks like she doesn't have many friends and that kids are mean to her at times...but maybe it is just me being paranoid. I really like her teacher. This is only his 3rd year teaching and his first time teaching 2nd grade..but I like his enthusiasm. He just got married the weekend after Halloween and the class hated their sub and were so glad to have him back.

Then recently I had my 10 year anniversary at Mayo and one of my gifts was a gift certificate to a restaurant. So, I decided to treat the girls today and we went to TimberLodge Steakhouse for lunch. We really enjoyed it and got "extra's" because of the gift cert. We enjoyed an appetizer Audrey picked out and we shared a dessert that the girls really wanted. We left more than stuffed and I brought most of my meal home with me. Anyhow...there was a lady across from us and she was commenting on Wrigley who had taken his socks off and was chewing on them and then she said you have a really nice family and they are so well behaved. That just always makes me feel better. Especially the last few months there are many times I get down on myself due to the added stress and having to do it alone when I have them.
So, that made my day. And I must say they all 3 did very well considering we were there for an hour and 1/2. The service was pretty slow.

On the MOOOVE

This is the first time I have been patient enough to download a video and it' s not even a very good one. Wrigley crawls much better and quicker than this, but he kept slipping on the wood floor.

A few more pics

Wrigley just discovered this fun toy tonight...the curtains!!!!

Pulling himself up.

Chuckie Cheese

Yesterday we went to LaCrosse, did a little shopping, and then picked up my dad and went to Chuckie Cheese. My dad works to LaCrosse so it's not a bad drive and the girls were so excited to see their papa and of course Chuckie!!!

Wrigley didn't know what to think of this little Barney ride.

Emmie with my dad behind her.

Em loved this bike ride where you pedal and it lifts you up....except she couldn't quite reach the pedal so my dad helped her part of the time.

9 1/2 months, where did the time go???

It's so hard to believe that Wrigley will be a year in 2 1/2 months. It has gone sooo fast. All of the sudden he is such a fast mover. He is all over the house and follows his mommy everywhere...often pulling at my pant legs!!! I must admit it is a good feeling although I forgot how it is impossible to get ANYTHING done!!! Tonight when I came downstairs he had pulled himself up on his knees at this toy. I know he'll be pulling to standing soon. TOO SOON!!!!

Tonight he was chasing this balloon all over. I know it isn't the greatest idea...but he was loving it and I was watching him the whole time!!!

On the move looking for me down the hallway. I realized tonight that I better get the outlet plugs out and the cupboard locks. Been awhile since I've had to worry about those dangers!!!

Wrigley just had a his 3rd ear infection this past week. I am afraid he's going to follow in his sister's foot steps and need tubes before long. He is finally getting into eating more food now that he feels better again. He seems so different from the girls in that he would rather have milk than food. He seems a little behind as far as eating more solid type food. This morning I tried to give him a few small bites of toast and he gagged and threw up. He also does this with the gerber graduate melt away cereal things. It's not like he is hurting, but seems strange he can't eat more of those things yet.
I am starting to wean him from the nursing. Next month
i will be away from him a couple of long weekends so I figured I better start weaning now although I am having a tough time giving it up. Tonight I am going to give him a bottle of formula at bedtime hoping he will sleep better.
He sleeps all night for Troy and is up at least twice for me!!!
I am going to Vegas next month with a girlfriend and am so excited for a little R & R!!!

Terri and Chad Meet Katie

My sis in law and brother in law are in China and these are their first pics with their beautiful addition Katie. Sounds like their first hours with her went very well. I am so royally confused about the time difference there!!! I thought it would be Monday when they got her, but actually was yesterday our time. Anyhow....keep them in your prayers please!!!!

So precious and I can honestly say it's one of the biggest if not the biggest smile I've ever seen on Terri's face!!!!

Update

Well, I was wrong. Believe it or not!!!! Audrey was not positive for strep throat...so not we just wait out this viral illness!!! As long as she continues with the ibuprofen she is good. So, hopefully this passes quickly.

Our house is now going to be quieter as Troy took Ozzy (our cat) to his apartment so he can be with his buddy Cooper.

Ozzy has been urinating outside of the litter box and Troy took him to the vet this a.m. and as my gut instinct was telling me....it is most likely due to the stress he has been going through without having his buddy Cooper to play with.

So, hopefully reuniting them will help him. He has always been a great cat, but I could not deal with him peeing around the house. Since Troy and Cooper have been gone, he had been crying a lot and sleeping with me most nights.

So, pets obviously feel the brunt (SP??) of all of this situation too!!!!
